Résumé :
Philippe Audra a obtenu le titre de Docteur en géographie physique à l’Université Joseph Fourier à Grenoble en 1993. Il est professeur agrégé de géographie. Il intègre l’Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis en 1995 comme Maître de Conférences en géographie physique, puis Polytech Nice-Sophia en 2007, où il est promu Professeur en 2014. Sa recherche concerne le karst. Il s’est spécialisé dans les domaines fondamentaux de la formation des réseaux karstiques, notamment des réseaux noyés profonds et des réseaux hypogènes. Dans le domaine appliqué, il est reconnu pour ses contributions en hydrologie karstique, en évaluation du risque karstique dans les grandes infrastructures, et en gestion de la ressource en eau souterraine. Actuellement directeur du Département Hydroinformatique et ingénierie de l’eau et du Master hydroprotech à Polytech Nice-Sophia, il s’investit tout particulièrement dans la formation des élèves ingénieurs et des étudiants en Master. Il a notamment encadré une dizaine de doctorants tant sur le karst que dans le domaine de la gestion de l’eau. Particulièrement investit au niveau international de la recherche, il est l'auteur ou co-auteur de près de 200 publications dans des journaux ou conférences
.

Philippe Audra received the Ph.D. degree in Physical geography at the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble, France, in 1993. He is senior teacher in Geography. He enters the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis in 1995 as Associate Professor in Physical geography, then Polytech Nice-Sophia Engineering School in 2007, where he got a position of Full Professor in 2014. His research is dedicated to karst. He is an expert in cave genesis, especially in deep phreatic and in hypogene caves systems. In operative research, he is an expert in karst hydrology, in karst assessment for civil engineering, and in groundwater management. Currently Director of the Department of Hydroinformatic and Water management and of MSc. Hydroprotech, he is particularly involved in the education of engineering and Master degree students. He was supervisor of about 10 PhD students both in karst science and in water management. With a special attention to the research at the international level, he is author or co-author of almost 200 journal and conference papers.
